Harley just can't get rid of the leaking oil rep when AMF owned them. This is actually my 4th Harley with a combined 70k miles and none of them have leaked. They are actually very reliable now. They will steal you blind on service though. I bought this one right before winter and this was my 1k mile service and I had to change engine, primary, and tranny oil. Dealership charged $350+ for this. I spent $70 on parts and it took me 1 1/2 hours. |

Yup. Bought my Wide Glide in '99 and she's never leaked a drop.

In your case: Rolling it out the driveway to wash it and put it back in won't make it leak. You gotta ride it and get it up to operating temperature.

I also do all my own work. I did my 1K for $120 (synthetic oil) and an hour of my time.
