Default Re: Cheap Smoke Thread

Howdy cheap cigar smokers,

I've been on hiatus for a while, but thought I would share a few bargain cigars I have been smoking lately:

Pinar Del Rio Classico - This is a great cigar and is being discontinued and blown out in both retail and mail order. I tried one when I was seeking a replacement for 601 Black at The Party Source (local tobacconist) and returned to buy a a box @ ~$3 a stick. According to reports from IPCPRSTUV, stronger flavored Connecticut wrapped cigars are a growing trend. This is not strong, but it isn't the typical airball Dominican Connecticut cigar either. I have since found them and purchased many more boxes from cbid at around $2 a stick. Cigarbid has some pretty old ones shipping (3-4 years old), and they lack the second band on the newer ones in retail stores but the blend and quality are the same as retail (they don't seem to be a crappy Keith Meier edition).

Now that I have trashed K.M. (since he does sell some Dog Rockets); here is an exclusive of his I really like:
Alec Bradley Harvest Selection '97 - ~$2.50 a stick on CBid if you work, often much less frustrating to but outright for $3 a stick from CI. The construction quality and burn of these is amazing for a 'house brand', and I like the blend better than the highly touted Prensado.

La Reloba Seleccion Sumatra Corona - $3.75 a single -10% box quantity from my local Tobacconist. First let me say IMO you should avoid the Mexican and Habano wrapped versions of this blend, and also the larger ring gauge vitolas - it is all about this Vitola.

Tabacos Baeaez S.F. - $1.75 - Best mixed filler cigar out there. Good flavor and burn but no complexity.

enjoy,
-Matt-
