Signed the contract on the new house!!

I've made the plunge and signed the paperwork to have a new house built. It's been a wild ride moving my family from Maryland to Georgia but this should be the last piece of the puzzle. It's on an acre and includes a 12x16 screened in smoking porch!!!

Might be a North Georgia Herf in the near future!!!!

Nice! Congrats on the new purchase. Just do yourself a favor and get yourself your own home inspector and be sure to do inspections at all stages of construction.

If the builder won't allow it fight them tooth and nail over it.

If I can ask, what part of N. Ga? My dad has a place up in Rabun County that I visit and fish as often as I can.

If this does become a concern PM me, I have a few inspectors I recommend. I am IRC certified but I would recommend guys with more inspection experience as I was just one of those evil builder types

I've got 2 constuction buddies that will not only be keeping an eye on it, but they're also sub-ing on the job (Insulation and Electric). But I still might have an independant come look at it. I got screwed on a septic system pipe that wasn't burried deep enough on the last house I built. It also doesn't hurt that the contractor is my new neighbor
