My theory at this point is that Jack and all of the other candidates will get killed, and Hurley will become the new Jacob, and Hurley will die in the flash sideways. Then somehow, the 2 universes will merge, so everything will be fine.
My original theory was that Hurley would be 'The Man' so I can buy into that. Except the merge, that's too trippy for me to work it out in my head.
