A sad addendum to this story...

My father in law was taken to the hospital yesterday because he couldn't breathe. It turns out he has two large blod clots in his lungs (pulmonary embolism) and a few smaller ones. He's recently divorced and has his youngest children (14 and 12) on Tuesdays. If his 14 year old didn't overule his father and call an ambulance there is a very good chance he'd be dead. He's in ICU now and we're visiting him tonight. He should be allright but I'll find out more tonight...
