Temperature is important too. Especially if you smoke outside. I had the same problem going from a nice warm car on to chilly golf courses. I can't remember were I read it but it was recommended to stick with thick heavy wrappers in situations like that. CT shade and Sumatra wrappers split the worst. Now I reach for a leathery CT broadleaf and have never had an issue.
