Legend Guest Posts: n/a	Re: Why does it get bitter? Stale smoke and tar are the culprits. Purge before letting it go out is the answer, but I'm thinking you don't let it go out on purpose. Get smaller cigars that you will finish or don't set it down. That will remind you to keep it going.
