Hey Gang,
I have considered for several years now in joining one of those monthly cigar clubs similar to like what cigar.com offers. Where you pay a monthly fee and get 5 or 10 cigar automatically and randomly shipped to you. Just wondering if any of you guys have experience with any of these clubs and if you would suggest any that you may have feed back on. Just thinking this may be a fun way to try out some cigars that I might not normally buy. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jackie |

It would be a good idea to get some smokes you wouldn't normally try. But, they could send you smokes that you wouldn't buy at all~
I, myself, like to try new things; but also like to know what I am buying with my money. |

I've never heard anything positive about cigar clubs. But, that's not to say there aren't any good ones. But, placing your money against the risk of getting sent a few dog turds you'll lay down, I would just opt for hands on selection at the local cigar shop. That way you can control what you try.

I signed up for the Cigar.com COTMC to get the 3 Man O' War Armada sticks they are giving to new members. Anyway, this is what came in the February 2011 shipment the other day:
Siglo Limited Reserve Maduro IV (6 x 54) Romeo y Julieta Habana Reserve (6 x 56) H. Upmann Reserve Maduro Sir Wintson (7 x 50) Romeo y Julieta Viejo 'E' (6 x 54) Trinidad Habana Reserve Toro (6 x 54) I don't know if this selection is typical but I hope the info helps. |

I have been a member of 3 cigar clubs for about 2 years (just stopped the Cigar Dave one since I was getting crap). Its nice to get a variety of sticks to try new things, however I think pretty soon I am going to stop them all since I have smoked a good number of different cigars and know what I like and what I do not.
Now if someone started a cigar club that shipped boutique cigars every month I would jump on that. |

This and this. I've never joined one but looking at what they send it's never anything great. You would be better off walking through a B&M blindfolded grabbing 5 sticks and tossing the clerk your credit card. |
