I may pick this up on DVD. I was a little skeptical about the way they played fast and loose with canon, but once I saw it, the alternate timeline made it work. Do the extras include the SNL Weekend Update appearance? That was hilarious!

I still have issue about how it fits into the "canon" as well. However, I don't want to get known as a Trekkie so I'll let it go!!!

Wow, this thread has lasted a loooong time ! I guess it's because the movie is out on DVD now. I thought it was a great movie, I never knew Spock and Ohura had a thing though.

I finally saw this last night on BR. I thought it was great! Great story line, special effects and cast. I wish I had seen it when it was in theaters. Anyway, I can't wait for the next one!

I thought it was an ok movie, not great, ok (still the best Star Trek movie). One of my problems was thinking "Skylar!!" througout the movie

The wife and I went and watched on opening weekend... which says a lot because she is "anti"-Star Trek. Then on top of that I came home Wednesday to find her watching the Blu-Ray I think she's been converted
