Any Orval drinkers here?

Since I live in Belgium, I can enjoy most Trappist beers here. My favorite is Orval Trappist and I haven't seen it on the shelves lately.
I asked around and apparently they are reducing the quantity to either improve quality or making a new brew.

So if you have stock in your local store, I would suggest stocking up until the new batches come in.

Hrmm.....Making a new brew ? I'd like to believe that - however I think they've been doing quite well with the existing offering...As I don't believe it has changed since the 1930s.

Something is going on with production, I can't find it anywhere and I live in the trappist beer capital of the world.

Maybe they stockpiled for lent; or for the end of days in December

I'll ask around here and let ya know what I can find out.....fwiw.

A few years back, I was in Belgium and enjoyed many of the trappist beers. Orval was a great beer!
