It's official!!! Mike has been selected for promotion to Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.

What does that mean you might be asking? Well I'll tell you. It means he has time and time again proven himself with selfless dedication to country and Corps. Through his tenacious leadership he has shown that he is responsible to lead Marines in a higher capacity and can be trusted with more responsibility.

He enters a new breed of Marine. He enters the Staff Non-Commisioned Officer (SNCO) ranks and is known as a "Keeper of Tradition". He will motivate the awkward and encourage the wayward. He becomes a member of the most unique group of professional military practitioners in the world.

His demeanor is such that his peers and juniors shall emulate him.
