Ultrasonic cleaner

Just picked up one of these for my razor hobby. Can I use this for cleaning pipe stems? I imagine the actual bowl wouldn't like the moisture, but would it clean the stems pretty well?

I used to use these when I was in college taking Aircraft Maintenance classes for my A&P license and we had some pretty harsh chemicals in them to clean part. If you use a very soft detergent and water I don't see why it would be an issue. I really wish I had one in my own garage. Where did you get yours?
