Dear Lord, Thank You.

Does Anyone Plex?
I have my Plex server up and running, about 750 movies so far.
I've seen that you can invite friends. I don't know how to do it yet, but I imagine it's so a brother can share his library and vice versa. I wanted to see if anyone else has set up a Plex server and if you'd like to try out this friends thing. That is all. Hugs and kisses.

Re: Does Anyone Plex?
I ended up doing the Plex thing.
I'm running it across my Firestick app. I can tell you guys, it's persnickety. Tough to get everything to play without a skip or hangup, even when I convert everything to .mp4's. But I've finally managed to get it all to work, and it's AWESOME.

Re: Does Anyone Plex?
I use it, but only to get torrents from my laptop to my tv. I've found it to be pretty seamless so far. I am thinking about taking an old computer and turning it into a dedicated media server though, because I always forget I'm using my laptop to stream a movie and accidentally close it!

Re: Does Anyone Plex?
I built a 6-core, 16gb media hog for all this nonsense.
I can stream all day and never know Plex is running. My problem is ripping. So many errors. It drives me nuts. I have 4 optical drives in this machine, plenty of bus to handle it, yet I can seldom rip more than 2 vids at a time without them blue-screening my machine.

Re: Does Anyone Plex?
I wouldn't even be able to figure it out, Moses.
If I'm here, I can at least catch the error. Honestly, I think it's because two of the drives are on a pci-sata card. I should move all 4 drives to a 4-port sata card, but I don't think one pci channel can handle that much of a load. When I begin this battle again, can I bother you about it? I can find a post-mortem debugger, or I can use whatever you suggest.
