Default 9 Years Today.
By the Grace of God, I've spent 9 years free of alcohol.
I still go to meetings regular, Monday and Thursday at 10:00 am. I'm on my way shortly.
Life sure does suck a whole lot less on the outside of the bottle. These days it amazes me how I couldn't live a minute without it. It'd be like a bad dream, but after being drunk for 25 years, it's really not possible to forget.
I certainly don't miss all the wonderful fringe benefits that went along with it. It's good to feel good, and it's even better to be at peace.
