El Tiante - La Leyenda

I was gifted this cigar from Daniel Tiant (Louie Tiant's son) at an event this week. This new line, La Leyenda, is a sumatra wrapped cigar where as the other lines are maduro and corojo...

Overall the cigar had a nice box press shaped with a very nice looking sumatra wrapper. As well, there were no noticeable flaws or soft spots.

The first 1/3 inch had a very sharp bite to it but went away quickly. I am not sure if that was due to it being young or another issue. Once I got past that, it was a very good cigar full of spice and hints of nut. As well, I noticed a faint coco smell as I was smoking it! Overall the cigar burned really well and held it's ash pretty well.

I am not sure of the price on this line, but I would definitely buy a few more!

Thanks for the review. I do have a problem with that Tiante logo though - his knee should be up to his ear!

I'm with Mac... I think I'd like to try a Maduro or Conoju wrapper! These may need some "rest" to get the best flavor out of them!

You only smoked the "gifted" stick?

I'd expect that those "cigar girls" would have had you walking out of the place with at least a box of each!!
