Great review and great pics. I am smoking one as I write this and gotta say this is a good cigar. The fuse is fun. The flavors are nice. Great burn perfect smoke output. Beautiful ash. I didn't detect the spice I was anticipating at first. I too snorked at the half way point just before reading this review and the spice kicked me in the face. Been picking up mild tasty spice ever since. I started laughing while reading you did the same with the reaction to the snork. I will seek these out in the future. My October smokes have been the best experiences for me as a smoker. Don't want this month to end and introduce the cold winter. I intend to track down some more of these!
Some smokes make me wish I was drinking coffee, this was PERFECT with cream soda!

I've got the DPG Blues!!!

Nice review! I love these little guys. You're right on about the lack of complexity in these sticks, but the flavor that they do have suits me just fine. I also find quite a bit of pepper and spice in these cigars as well. These are nice cigars for a quick smoke.

Great review. Love the Pepin Blue line, but have not tried one of the Firecrackers yet. I think they are only carried by a few retailers.

This is a good smoke, I'm surprised you got 50 mins out of that little firecracker. For me, it was a 30min smoke, 40 max.

So, I am stuck at work today for my 16 hour day, which as most know will be a 4-5 cigar day. My Pelican case is packed with lots of yummies and see this DPG cigar calling out for me.

This is a small version of the terrific Blue Label cigars. Thi is a nice little, 3" x50, pepper bomb. The cap has a long pigtail, which makes this cigar look just like a fat firecracker. The foot of this cigar has a smashed shaggy end, which looks as though it will drop ash really quick, but it was quite the opposite. Beautiful medium brown wrapper with a small vein and well placed cap. Pre-light hints of spice and pepper, cedar were present. After cutting this with my Palio cutter, I could taste the pepper and cedar. I toasted this cigar with my Dupont Xtend lighter and it took off. Lots of blue grey smoke came from this cigar.

I really can't base this cigar in thirds, as it took me about 35 minutes to smoke this. I had no problem nubbing this one (1/2"), as the flavor was awesome. The Blues really show off the great pepper/spice flavors which the Don creates for our enjoyment. There were no burn or draw issues and this cigar was terrrific. On a scale of 1 - 10, this cigar was a solid 9. Add in a great price on a box of 25 for about $95 and these are a steal. Definitely grab one and try it, you will not be disappointed.

Thanks for taking the time to read and hope it helps. Thanks Bao for doing that split!

Ok, so I'm a little late to the party. Smoking one now, courtesy of Remo 5 0, and I am digging it. Spice on mine mellowed very quickly, and it threw off lots of smooth creamy smoke, exactly what I was hoping for. I am definitely digging on the DPBs right now as one of my favorite NC cigars.
