Don Panchos is a cigar shop in Kissimmee, Florida and the local hangout of one of my friends, so when I was in Kissimmee last fall I decided to drop in. I noticed some Bucanero cigars, we talked about the brand and the owner told me Bucanero made their house blends. I picked up a few, amongst them was this 5x50 double maduro robusto.
![]() The wrapper is dark, shiny, oily and looks great. I see a few veins, which make the cigar look though. The construction is great and the cigar has a unique smell. I smell nut shells, walnut shells to be precise. The predraw is great and I taste walnut shells, just like I smell them. ![]() I taste a dry flavor, kinda like the skin in peanuts with some earth and a little bit of salt. After half an inch I taste a nice sweet chocolate in the aftertaste. The flavors are full and the aftertaste takes long to disolve. Halfway I taste some earth, herbs and cinnamon. The herbal flavors are dominant. ![]() Some puffs later I taste a fresh dark chocolate flavor too and after two thirds I taste dry nuts, lots of herbs and some white pepper. The flavors are dry. The pepper becomes stronger, something I especially taste on my lips with some freshness and something musty. ![]() This cigar lasted me an hour and twenty minutes. The draw is great and the burn is good. The smoke is plenty but could be a bit thicker. The ash is nice, straight, light colored and firm. This cigar is full flavored and medium to full bodied. ![]() Would I buy this cigar again? Next time I'm in Kissimmee I will get a few more Appearance: 8 / 10 Construction: 8 / 10 Draw: 8 / 10 Burn: 7 / 10 Smoke & ash: 7 / 10 Aroma first part: 7 / 10 Aroma second part: 8 / 10 Aroma third part: 6 / 10
