Default Antique Shop Zippos

Well, The wife and I went to the beach during the day yesterday to go look at the shops and to eat. The trip was really for her, but while in one of the antique shops, she saw two zippo lighters just laying on a table in a section of semi-clutter. Sure enough there were two zippo lighters laying there labeled $8 each. One is a plain brused gold one, the other a silver one with some engraving on it saying FFG-8 USS McInerney. I bought both of them because even though neither are truly antique, for two like new zippos I couldn't pass them up for $8 each. I'm buying a vector butane soft flame insert for one of them.

What markings are on the bottom. That will tell you date of production. Good find, especially the one with the ship. Those are made specifically for members of the ships crew, in most cases.

Nice Find!

Another insert is the Blazer Z-plus torch. The one I have has lasted me at least 5years now. In fact it is housed in a gold zippo just like the one you have pictured

I already have enough torches right now lol. That's why I'm gonna turn a zippo into a soft flame butane.
