I enjoy smoking my favorite cigar, it's a Gurkha Nepalese Warrior. The wrapper is Cameroon. Other cigars with a camerroon wrappers are Cohiba, Excalibur 1066, Arturo Fuente, H. Upmann Vintage, Romeo y Julieta, Partagas, CAO Cameroo, I'm sure I missed many others.
What wrappers do you preferred on your smokes? And how much do you consider the wrapper on the cigars you choose? (sorry, I did a little cut and paste and the font looks funny) Last edited by drhalle; 03-11-2009 at 02:44 PM. Reason: font problem |

Wrapper takes a big consideration when I'm choosing a smoke. Certain cigars in their natural wrapper I dislike but in maduro or something else I like. Fuente is a good example. I don't like any of their natural-wrapped cigars, but their candelas and sun growns are very good to me.
I actually dislike Cameroon. For one it has a very dry taste to me and ends with an unpleasant aftertaste toward the end of the cigar. Also, Cameroon just doesn't work in Colorado; it's too fragile and not worth the hassle. I do like corojo now and then as well, and sometimes an oscuro hits the spot. But my favorite cigars don't have a wrapper choice - whatever them Cubans are using is just fine by me ![]() |

I was on a camerroon kick for a while. My favorites are Fuente Hemmingways & Don Carlos, Oliva G, Partagas and Taboo HSG. I've wanted to give the Napalese Warrior a try.
Wrapper does play a large part of my selection process. I tend to like sun growns and maduros in addition to the cammies. I agree that whatever the Cubans are using rates pretty high on my list too ![]()

I am a big Cameroon fan. AB Trilogy cam, Nub Cam and the Cuban Crafters Cam are my top choices.

Don Tomas makes a good Cameroon. I'm enjoying one now.

I'll try any cigar with any wrapper, it's rare that I think a cigar with a Cameroon wrapper is GOOD though. The saccharine flavor from Cameroons for the most part remind me of envelope glue.

I'm a big fan of the Cameroon wrapper although I stick mostly with the Fuente Hemmingways. Otherwise it’s the Connecticut wrapper.
