Bill Buckner Dead At 69

Former Red Sox first baseman passed. Rest in peace.

As a Yankee fan, I considered him somewhat of a hero to me. I just wish Mac had lived to feel this too.

Poor guy. Several years ago he tried to kill himself. He jumped in front of a bus but it went between his legs.

I saw him play quite a bit with the Dodgers back in the early 70s. I always thought he was a pretty solid player. Sad what happened later in that series, but it never diminished him in my eyes. RIP Bill.
