Quick review on the 6 x 52 Das Boot Octoberfest Torpedo. Bought this cigar at a favorite local B&M in Orlando on a quick trip over. Lots of discounted sticks and this one stood out, with a nice Dark Natural mahogany colored wrapper. The aroma from the foot was molasses and dark tobacco.

I don't know if you smoked the 2014 version, but if not, give this year's Oktoberfest a shot. Its MUCH better. I had the toro size (Kaiser), and from what I was told, it has a different wrapper, and it made a world of difference, as I've never been a huge fan of previous releases either.

I tried one of the 2014s at a Nat Shermans event. Good cigar, had some punch, and I got a beer stein with it.

I dunno, the name Das Boot just makes me think about the smell of guy sweat, diesel fuel, whatever the hell we called the grease we used on the tubes.

I did not like these at all when I first tried them. Waited about 18 months and revisited them and LOVED them.
