I was pondering this question this morning while trying to avoid doing meaningful work: Just how did the cigar industry discover the useful properties of Spanish Cedar and some to use it so heavily in the industry?

Lots of google time hasn't given me a useful answer, so I thought I'd toss it out here. To be clear, I understand the useful properties but am interested in the historical question of how, why and when did it come into use in the cigar industry. A useful bit of info here: http://www.fpl.fs.fed.us/documnts/fplrn/fplrn078.pdf

Everyone should bump Mark's rep for this useful tidbit of history, oh, and because he hates being bumped. ------- Damn... Code:
