out of a full size compressor fridge with a freezer on top. Was thinking of ripping the compressor out of the fridge and use an thermoelectric cooling system but am having a hard time finding something that could work. Any suggestions would be great. thanks in advance

Hmmm.. not sure what could work. If you don't NEED the cooling aspect, maybe just leave it unplugged? Should seal up nicely.

I was thinking of taking a thermoelectric unit from the wine cooler and using it in a wooden cabinet. IF the unit and cabinet are size proportionately, the lack of insulation shouldn't be an issue. At least in our area. I only need to get the tempo down about 4-5 degree from ambient, in order to leave my humidor upstairs year round.
