My 15 minutes of fame

I was recently asked to do an interview about my iPhone app, Mobile Stogie, for Dogwatch Cigar Radio, a weekly podcast about cigars and the cigar business. It showed up on the podcast last week (episode 241, Sept 25th). It's about a 15 minute segment at around the 50 minute mark of the podcast, in case anybody is interested (itunes link).

Along with that interview, Bob McDuffee (who is the host that interviewed me) is writing an article for European Cigar Cult Journal in which he plans to profile my app as well. Got a nice little bump in downloads right after that podcast aired

Even if you don't give a hoot about Mobile Stogie, the weekly podcast is sometimes pretty interesting, and worth a listen if you've never heard it before.

I think you can download Itunes without owning an Ipod, Andrew.

yep, you can play it with iTunes, and it's actually just an mp3 podcast, so you can listen to it in any mp3 player.

You can also go to cigarmedia.tv and get podcasts directly from their site. They should play in pretty much any media player since they're standard .mp3 files.

I used to have an Ipod that was "liberated" from my car when I was TDY but couldn't bring myself to spending that much again. Anyway now you can browse through the folders and find all the podcasts as Mp3's and just drag and drop. I do that with my Sansa Fuze 4 gig with 8 gig chip it's not as cool as the ipod but it's close and a whole lot cheaper/
