man they still do air shows?...........I was there from 80-83 with VF101 & worked on the F14 Tomcats........both the unit & the plane are moth balled

No Offence, But it's not hard to see how units AND planes get mothballed with the stuff these guys have now! It's crazy! I would definitely NOT want to be a bad guy in the crosshairs of these boys. Everything is so fast and advanced now... you'd be dead before you heard the roar of the afterburners.

Loved the F-14! Saw the Reapers fly it back in the day! Jeremy- BVR- beyond visual range-- you're dead b4 you know what hit you!

The Blues were there, gotta get a pix of them in here!

I didn't go to the show but Kelly and I were down around Oceana that day to get her engagement ring sized up at a local jewelry maker... at least 3 car accidents we saw... obviously must have been caused by people watching the jets. It's crazy to think about it... if these guys are traveling even close to the speed of sound... even half that... they're literally in North Carolina by the time you even know what passed over ya! So fast and loud, I believe you'd be a crispy critter before you even knew what blew your butt up.
