I ordered a few pipes on auction at Ebay last week, and the first one showed up yesterday. It was described as "BRIAR PIPE NEW UNUSED ESTATE BRAVE HEART #1 ANTIQUE". I liked the looks of it, so I decided to bid on it. This is what I received yesterday:

Top is polished and carved on the sides of the bowl. It has rather thick walls and a (for me) generous tobacco chamber.

The bowl and stem bottom is also polished. I just smoked a bowl of Carter Hall and the pipe performed very well. There was a slight "gurgle" about midway through the bowl that went away after a light tamp. All in all, I'm pretty pleased with this pipe. I can only hope that the rest of the pipes I ordered are anywhere close to the condition of this one!
