As most of you know, I am a Lutheran pastor. Martin Luther never wanted a church called by his name, he simply wanted to reform what he saw as problems in the church of His day. He wrote many wonderful things, but I thought a few quotes might fit well here.
Whoever drinks beer, he is quick to sleep; whoever sleeps long, does not sin; whoever does not sin, enters Heaven! Thus, let us drink beer!
but then he also said...
Beer is made by men, wine by God.
It is better to think of church in the ale-house than to think of the ale-house in church.
Sorry for the interruption, was just reading some Luther for another project and these struck me as fitting. Now you know why I am a Lutheran.
