There have been a lot of individual punishments that were a year or longer. First to come to mind for me are Paul Hornung and Alex Karas. Of course I read "no one" as individuals, whereas if you said "no team", I would agree. But no team has been caught like this, so it makes sense no team has had this severe of a punishment.

Life - Art Schlichter, Indianapolis, gambling, suspended for one year on June 1983. Was released following the 1985 season; pleaded guilty to an illegal gambling charge April 1, 1987. NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle did not reinstate after Schlichter applied for permission to re-sign.

1 year, 10 months - Darrell Russell, Oakland, substance abuse, Jan. 2, 2002-Oct. 28, 2003. Suspended indefinitely July 26, 2004 for substance abuse, two weeks after cut by Tampa Bay.

1 1/2 years - Stanley Wilson, Cincinnati, substance abuse, Oct. 30, 1984-May 8, 1986.

1 1/2 years - Dale Carter, Denver, substance abuse, April 25, 2000-Nov. 7, 2001.
