I'm going to give the girl the benefit of the doubt and think she figured the message meant, "non-race mixing."
As a half breed you sort of pick up on stuff like this a little too much, and well, assuming that the girl had some mixed Hispanic blood, may have taken this completely wrong.

Just a guess though given the info in the original post.
