I think at the end you asked a question, I was dazed by that time but port speed it!ant going to get you faster than you pay for internet speed, the only increase most likely would be if the old ports were much slower than the bandwidth you were paying for. Pretty sure more information makes for a more informed opinion, usually.
And at 10 or 15 mbps I can't outrun a 10/100 port anyway as you pointed out.
