Nah - the saline solution is made by using a pre-measured packet containing a salt and a buffering agent. It's not _that_ salty, plus the buffering agent helps quite a bit and the packets probably contain less than a teaspoon of compound (probably closer to about a half-teaspoon), so it's not like the mound of table salt in a cup of water like you would use for gargling.
It might be a bit uncomfortable the first time or two you use it, but that's probably due more to not being used to forcing 8oz of water up into and through your sinus cavity than anything else.
Even when you double the packs up it doesn't burn. Maybe a tiny tingle, but thats about it.
