I like Phillips, he and Votto are about the only players who come to play every day, as I have said before. 
Votto has had little opportunity to drive in runners with empty bases. Put some runners on for him and allow him to play baseball. Phillips is doing better because he is essentially a leadoff hitter for the second inning.  |
Phillips, Votto, Hernandez, Hanigan, Rolen(?), Arroyo, and Cueto are the only ones who haven't looked horrible at this point. Hanigan can't hit, but he has decent at-bats and he calls a helluva game. Rolen and Cueto have been on the DL already too much, and Hernandez only gets limited field time. He should have been the DH every game in Cleveland. Hanigan behind the plate and Hernandez as DH.
