Default Re: types of wood that can be used in a humidor?

alright, was able to score 100 Boardfeet of hardwood spanish cedar for 4.83 pbf. thats not quite enough and need about 170-180 to do the walls and shelves. since the hardwood is 1 inch think i was thinking it of slicking it in half so i can line the humi with 1/2 inch and then have enough to make the shelves.

Interstingly enough honduran mahogany is about 7.50 a boardfoot but they were all sold out. so spanish cedar is even cheaper. i'm probably going to go with african mahogany for shelf cleating as that is more readily available.
