I finally went and got my concealed carry permit, have never needed one as I can carry anywhere as an off duty officer, but I got tired of paying the extra cash for a background check when buying guns (they even make cops pay) if you don't have a CCW. Anyways all I needed was a letter from my chief, took 15 minutes
