Default Re: WWF George Steele applies the "hammerlock" on the snk

GOT to be more enjoyable than getting together with Memphis wrestling 'legend' Jerry "the King" Lawler. Don't get
me wrong, he paid his dues, and he is a reasonably enjoyable person to spend an hour with, but it can be tough
getting around the persona. I think Jim Myers is probably pretty great and not intent on being a wrestler every
moment or making sure that he is ON when you are around him. I shot a commercial with Lawler and he had to oil up
his body first, all the while I am set up and ready to go, go inside and select a crown to use for his 5 second tag of
endorsement, and it was all about the image. After I say all that, I must admit that he was being PAID to be
The King, and shill for some minor concrete contractor. After that he took us inside for a soda and he has the
GIANT coca-cola memorabilia room that was impressive. I guess people give him stuff because of who he is
in addition to being an avid collector. But in the end, I was still left with the impression that makes me think you
got the better "wrestler meeting" than me and Jesse did that day. But my greatest wrestling story was SHOOTING
wrestling at the Silver Star Casino in Philly Mississippi.....THAT'S where I found out how it is really done, through the
headset I wore. And Skandor Ackbar was there, haha. ALL of them very cool dudes, VERY cool. It was a who's
who of 2nd tier old-school wrestlers and they could not have been nicer people.
