Default La Aurora Preferidos #3

This is my first of this line from La Aurora and because it's a smaller smoke I thought I'd give it the old college try. I was profoundly surprised by how much I enjoyed this little fat smoke.

Appearance: Milk Chocolate with wrapper texture almost silky

Construction: 1 small vein but otherwise perfect

Pre-light draw: Perfect not too loose nor too thick. Sweet tobacco with some floral notes

Lighting: Initially bitter, spicy, pepper

First Third:It immediately changes and turns sweet, Leather, Coffee, Cedar, Vanilla, Spice, Smoke is plentiful with a great silky texture, A sweet spiciness, Honey, Some grassiness that reminds me of a spring day here in FLA where it's 76F out with a light sticky sweet perfume in the air along with a freshly cut lawn mixed into it which is entirely pleasant. Cinnamon, Spiciness on the tip of the tongue, not pepper but that sweet spiciness, Ash remains tight - light grey and the burn is perfect.

Second Third: Leather, Sweet spiciness, That same grassy experience as above, Vanilla, Chai, Floral, Creaminess, After sitting in my humi for years it still tastes and smells fresh, Ash is still tight and holding well - light grey with some white, Burn is perfect with no touch ups at all. Smoke is still very full, textural, creamy, and silky.

Last Third:Still very sweet but very full bodied and spicy, A slight tang, Leather, Coffee, Light cocoa, Floral, Chai/tea, Honey, Vanilla, Chocolate covered coffee bean, Beautiful spiciness - a meal of a cigar really for a cigar that's not too big (giggidy) Ash is light grey and starting to flake, Burn was perfect to the end with no touch ups at all. Smoke was plentiful with the same textures until the end.

Finish: Strong, Powerful but never overwhelming, Not harsh and more like a strong espresso with a little sugar to soften it.

Conclusion: A wonderful cigar that I would gladly purchase a box of and will probably put this on my list of change of pace cigars for me. For me that's saying something. If you haven't tried one then get a fiver and see what I mean.

On my completely random and made up scales I'd give it 7.8 rubber ducky's out of 10 rubber duchy's.
