I have personally found the opposite. Normally, my cob smokes cooler. I also find that the smokes last about the same time in both. Although, that might explain why my briars burn hotter
Either way, they are both shorter than a cigar, which is nice with the weather change. I do find that I smoke my cob much more frequently. The reason being that I don't worry about messing up my cob. I constantly worry about messing up my briars. So, in summary, choose the pipe that works best for you
