I think there are two Threads going on here 1. Removing Odor 2. Masking Odor in my opinion #2 is more effective...

as far as Gargling with HP you should be careful. Dilute 1:1 with water and make sure you dont swallow it. and I wouldn't do it too often since HP is an acid and can damage the tissues in your mouth.
