I wish I still had pictures of mine. I drove a 1977 Chevrolet C/K 10 pickup with the Bonanza package. It was one of the very limited released numbers (less than 10,000 made) that included a four bolt main 350ci V8 and an oversized heavy duty automatic transmission (these were standard on a basic 1-ton truck, and nearly unheard of for a mere 1/2 ton). Factory A/C, cruise control, manual locks and windows, and upright rectangular towing mirrors (the tall kind that attatched at three points on the door side). The only things that we changed were new upholstery and carpet (old was pretty ratty) in 2004, an AM/FM/Cassette and back corner speakers that were from the '79 model, and shoulder seat belts, also from the '79 model which were all added in '80.
In 2004, with 600K miles, the engine finally gave out. After some cracked seals led to oil leakage, the number 1 & 2 rods stripped the camshaft and threw, causing the piston heads to sink and collect oil in the chamber above. Amazingly there was NO lip formed on the cylinder walls, so to fix it we only had to do a standard 30/1000ths re-bore. The hard part was a new camshaft which had to be custom ordered for the heavier engine.
Was a helluva good truck too.
