Rex Ryan this, Rey Ryan that......Ryans' defenses play well in certain situations, namely when they play slow, plodding type offenses. When they play anyone with any semblance of team speed and quick strike ability they get torched.

Monday night was a perfect example. Another example would be the last 3-4 times the Colts played the Ravens when Ryan was D coordinator there, Colts completely embarassed them each time, they AVERAGED something like 45 points a game.
The Colts pretty much torch every defense in the game. Peyton is a stud and their offense is epic. Unfortunately their defense has always been lacking.

As for Ryan's defense our defense Mon night looked nothing like the defense that played the first 4 games. They didn't show up. That doesn't mean that our defense isn't all that it's hyped to be. It means they had an off game.

We lose to the best offense in football (Saints) because of some rookie mistakes and we barely lose to Miami and all the sudden everyone is talking about how the Jets are over hyped and how we aren't going anywhere. How about we talk about how despite the Miami game we still have one of the top 5 defense in football. Or how about we talk about the fact that Sanchez, as a rookie, is playing much better than anyone expected him to and that he has the ability to take us to the playoffs. Let's talk about the fact that we now have Braylon Edwards, who after only 3 practices with the Jets, showed what a threat he is going to be to teams in the future. How about we talk about the fact that we have a young and talented O line that is also one of the best in the league. Lets talk about about the fact that Rieves is a shutdown corner who has pretty much stopped every receiver he has covered this year...
