Don't forget the Brazilian influence on latin music such as Sergio Mendez and the organ work of Dave Cortez. There has been some great music from folks of Cuban heritage coming out of Miami such as some of the ballads from Gloria Estefan and the off shoots from the Miami Sound Machine. When I listen to music from the Carribean I tend to listen to calypso and reggae. Just my
