The story I heard was that the Presidente of Honduras attempted to pull a "self-coup" and install himself as permanent Presidente. The Supreme Court of Honduras declared his action illegal, the Presidente "fired" the head of the Honduran Army, and the head of the Army declared he wasn't going anywhere since he had the Court's backing. Then the "removal" came this morning.
