This is true... one USPS employee explained that when you get your DC# at the window, they have an origination scan that sometimes allows for a certain amount of tracking.
If you use an automated or on-line source, there is no origination scan, and therefore only the confimation of delivery will be seen - which is all you have actually been sold.
Now, if it does not show the Delivery Confirmed, you certainly have the right to get your $0.65 back. I expect to get what I pay for... but with USPS, any tracking is just gravy. My
