Try changing the batteries in your hygros, and then re-calibrating... you might be suprised at how off they were.
If thats not the problem it might be that your sticks are still "wet" from purchase. How long have you had them? I notice a 3-4% spike in my RH when I add a fresh box to my Vino.
Also, 70% might be a tad high for your beads. You might want to consider 65% RH beads... This way it will keep you below that 70% mark in the Florida summer humidity. Just my
