Nope, anyone can spend any amount on any product, once the seller agrees upon a
minimum level. For instance, some here have gone to college and still are quite incapable of using rudimentary English forms. Imagine that, graduating from an institution of higher learning, and simple, standard conventions are not a matter of course, or even habit. Two, four, six, or eight years in higher education and the result is still as if the elementary or high school education hasn't even made any lasting impact. Simply because one can write a check is no guarantee of performance, or quality, or for that matter, appreciation. (Please reference, Gurkha, conversely 1492, institutional learning facilities of your choice with illiterate athletes).
While informal language may be an acceptable thing, within reason, it's fairly obvious why our society seems to be sinking to the lowest common denominator.
