For me its the magical 3 years. The ones I have from '05 are smoking damn well right now. The '08s and '07s aren't the best right now IMO. I haven't tried and '09 yet, but I just picked up some not too long ago... I will say, that the most recent crop has a very very very light wrapper compared to the previous few years. I wonder if it will be quite a bit milder and as such, might be better fresh...
I would say with 10 of them, smoke one now and decide what you think... if they suck bad, wait another year and try again... if its decent but not great, then re-visit in 6 months.
