While it is a lot of money, $11,000 doesn't really seem so bad. If there was a photograph of him with the humidor or proof that he actually possessed it, it should be a lot more valuable.

I enjoy historic collectibles, and keep my eyes on a few auctions. I also do basic appraisal work. I'd be interested in knowing more about it's chain of custody. Considering the fact that three existed, it may not be the one that he himself owned.
