Decided to go in and work on chest, and a bit of shoulder. Needed to see how my right shoulder would feel. As I thought, not great. Decline and regular press was ok. Incline was were it really told me to back off. Dropped the weight and was able to get them done.
What was funny on the decline, I did an easy warmup set to check alignment. Took those plates off and threw on 45’s. Blast out another set and I’m like, “that was easy. I’m stronger than I thought”. Then I saw there was only one 45lb plate on the bar.
After my weight loss years ago, I learned I was no where near as strong as I thought. My bulk did most of the heavy lifting. I’d love to be lifting more, but I’ll take what I can get at this point.
