I definitely agree with Colin. I just started trying a whole bunch of different ones, and I haven't really found a single malt scotch that I would turn away.
And it is not like there is some requirement that you need to like scotch. If someone gives you grief for not enjoying some scotch you most likely don't want to have them as drinking company. As always taste is subjective, so drink what you like
