I could not stop laughing for it was the first joke of that type I've heard from her.

One of the hardest laughs I have ever had came when I was maybe 8-9 and my Dad's mom came to Detroit from Florida to visit. My Grandma was probably 70 at the time, and I don't think I ever remembered her laughing.
My Dad was ordering desert for 4 of us at a restaurant, and ordered 4 hot fudge sundaes, and told them to bring one without nuts as he knew I did not like them on my sundae.
My Grandma blurts out
"Hold who's nuts!!??" to the waitress and my Dad. We sit there in shock for 5 seconds, and then me, my Dad and my Grandma had one of the greatest laughs, for several minutes, ever.
I know it wasn't a "turning point" moment like Dave's, but it is probably my favorite memory of my Grandma who has been gone for 30+ years. Thanks for reminding me.
